Have you had bad luck with keeping plants alive in the past? We have three easy rules for you to follow that will lead you to success!

1. Put your plant in a room with at least one window.

So if you place in a room with a window you should be ok. If the plant starts to go downhill try moving the plant around until it seems "happy". (For those of you who have an office in the basement—there are some plants we can suggest for you that will have different lighting requirements.)

2. Check your plant every day to see if it needs water.

You will know if it needs water if the soil is dry to the touch. Do not water it unless it is dry! The fastest way to kill a plant is over-watering. Your plant will likely only need water once or twice a week, but check it every day in the beginning to become familiar with its watering schedule.

3. Fertilize your plant every couple months.

When you purchase your plant from Tiger Garden, it will have fertilizer on it. When a couple months have passed, we would be happy to sell you a fertilizer packet with easy-to-follow instructions for application.
